Copyrighting the Pope©

This week, the Vatican, under the leadership of the person formerly known as Cardinal Ratzinger, have decided to copyright the name and symbols of the Pope.[1] We are no longer allowed to use the name of the one who welcomed Holocaust deniers back into communion with the Catholic Church. Using the name of the former member of Hitler Youth is now verboten, unless you have formally requested and obtained the express permission of the Vatican.
By Vatican directive, we are not allowed to use the actual name of Benny Double-Eight to respect the "great increase of affection and esteem for the person of the Holy Father" So the Vatican has decided in its wisdom (and of course under the guidance of the successor of that guy with two names twice) that "it alone has the right to ensure the respect due to the Successors of Peter, and therefore, to protect the figure and personal identity of the Pope from the unauthorized use of his name and/or the papal coat of arms for ends and activities which have little or nothing to do with the Catholic Church."
And this thinking leads to the conclusion "Consequently, the use of anything referring directly to the person or office of the Supreme Pontiff... and/or the use of the title 'Pontifical,' must receive previous and express authorization from the Holy See."
What unthinking Pontifical© bullcrap!
By the way, this whole meditation did refer directly to the person or office of the Supreme Pontiff© along with his pack of court jesters - no authorization was sought, nor will it be sought in future to name names when criticizing decisions of the Vatican© or Pope Benedict XVI©.
