Phelps' Perverted Minds Degrade Their Religion

It's never too soon to criticize the Phelps family of Westboro Baptist Church again. They are always useful to make the point again of blindly following the proclamations of any religious leader.

The disastrous floods in Queensland, Australia attracted the attentions of the Phelps family. Not surprising, because any disaster gives them the opportunity to re-emphasize their basic teaching: "God hates everybody."

So what did they say about the floods in Queensland?

On December 31, the following appeared on the Phelps' blog (presumably written by the current acting bigot-in-chief Shirley Phelps-Roper):

Queensland is the home of the sodomite damned where they have lived like animals and now the animals have moved into their houses: “Another woman said through tears, ‘I’ve got all my animals inside the house now.’” Yeah, tears of joy. Sex partners are now more accessible.

GodSmack!

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion. Leviticus 18:22-23

See what is going on here - the flood has forced a woman to move her domestic animals inside the house, and the perverted mind of sweet Shirley immediately jumps to the conclusion that inter-species sex is involved.

Does bringing animals under the same roof really imply sex? If that's the case, consider the case of Noah. Yes - the case of Noah, hero of the biblical flood as described in the very book that Fred and his daughter Shirley claim to get their moral messages from. Just what was Noah and his family doing with all those animals who shared his roof during the flood? Conveniently, the animals were of both sexes, so imagine the combinations. (No, don't! Let Shirley do the imagining.)

And isn't there another key biblical tale of humans sharing the same roof with animals? What were Joseph and Mary doing in that stable with all the animals? What was baby Jesus doing with the little lamb (or vice versa)?

If you accept that flood-stricken Australians letting livestock seek safety in their homes involves interspecies sex, then logically, the bible stories about animals sharing a roof with humans have precisely the same implications.

And that's where the thoughts of of the Phelps family take you - they ignorantly degrade their own religion.
