Descendants of Nature

I believe we are the descendants of Nature, children of the Hominid family, grandchildren of the order of Primates, great-grandchildren of the Mammalian class, descended of the phylum Chordata within the kingdom of Animals.*

I believe we are the descendants of Nature, the progeny of Evolution for within each of us, within every cell of our bodies lies the story of life on earth. A story stretching back through a billion years of mutations and adaptations, a billion years of ancestors struggling to survive and multiply, a billion years of biological history encoded into each and every genetic strand in our bodies.

And so, I believe we are the descendants of Nature.
