I dream of a religion that acknowledges we are still learning, not a religion that believes it already knows the absolute truth, but a religion that sincerely admits we have much to learn, much to discover about life, reality and the universe, a religion that believes the great truths come from humans exploring life’s mysteries, not from the glorious immortals whispering to hermits in caves, but from hardworking, inquisitive mortals exploring life, reality and the universe.
I dream of a religion that understands knowledge comes form many sources, not a religion that believes all relevant knowledge comes from a single supreme source, the sacred texts ascribes to their immortal, but a religion that recognizes nobody has a monopoly on knowledge and nobody has a monopoly on the absolute truth, a religion that recognizes knowledge and wisdom comes from anywhere and everywhere, from poets as well as philosophers, from politicians and from peasants too, from children as well as their parents, a religion that recognizes everybody has their little gems of wisdom.
I dream of a religion that thirsts for greater knowledge, greater apprehension and greater wisdom, a religion that understands we must explore life’s mysteries is we want greater knowledge, a religion that believes we must scrutinize reality’s secretes if we want greater apprehension, a religion that understands we must deciphers the universe’s conundrums if we want greater wisdom.
I dream of a religion that acknowledges we are still learning, not a religion that believes it already knows the absolute truth, but a religion that admits we have much to learn about life, reality, the universe and ourselves.
