Hello my fellow Agnostics and thank you for taking your time to read this.

I am the Rev.Currera. I am writing this to ask if any of you would be interested in starting a real life church a place where people like me could go and share my ideals with others.

I would like to show people that there is good in the world and that it does not have to come from a divine source but comes from people like you and me who go out and make good things happen.

I want a place to go to every week and talk to one another and discuss how we can help each other, not through prayer but through action. Imagine, if you will, that you come upon a rough spot in your life, say, you lost your job. You don’t have any money for rent but you are a member of the real life church of agnostics, you show up for the weekly congregation, you discuss your situation with your fellow members instead of praying and what not We automatically take up a collection for you to pay your rent, we get the word out to other members that you are in need of employment. It just so happens one of our members needs an employee with your skills and there you have it - problem settled through action.

It's just one of the things I would like to see in the future. It could happen.

I'm tired of being told that if you are good and you pray everyday and pay your tithes and have faith that good things will happen. It doesn’t always work that way. You need to get out and do something.

I don’t believe that, if there is a being who is responsible for our creation, he ever came down to Earth in human form. I don’t believe that we could possibly understand such a being. I believe that we are intelligent creatures and we know what’s right and wrong. Religion has always been the root of most wars. I don’t care whose right about which group will get into heaven in the after life. I'm concerned about this life and what I can do to make it better.

I think a physical agnostic church is the answer, and has advantages over this online church.

So please feel free to email me and let me know if anybody in the Louisiana area is interested in starting a church!
