I wanted to alert you and your website visitors about a new book that was recntly favorably reviewed on Richard Dawkins' web site. (Link below)

Freethought House Press published my first book FORTNEY ROAD, the True Story of Life, Death, and Deception in a Christian Cult on June 2, 2015.

SYNOPSIS:

Fortney Road is a disturbing account of calculated mental, physical, and sexual abuse in an evangelical Christian cult. Drawing on seven years of research including interviews with seventeen survivors, it tells the story of the rise and fall of the Church of the Risen Christ, its sadistic leader the Reverend Larry Hill, and its outreach tool, The All Saved Freak Band, one of the earliest religious rock groups borne out of the Jesus Movement. Unfolding against the backdrop of the 1960s and early ‘70s, Fortney Road is also the story of one brilliant musician—Glenn Schwartz—who managed to avoid the fates of Hendrix and Joplin only to fall victim to a charismatic, cruel zealot.

The book Includes interviews and insights from Joe Walsh, the Black Keys, David Byrne, Jeremy Spencer of Fleetwood Mac, as well as Glenn Schwartz’s encounters with Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and other rock icons of that era. Illustrated with over 50 photographs and images.

AVAILABILITY

The book is available on Amazon in Kindle and Paperback editions.
