Nowhere does the Bible say God is 'fair'

What you misunderstand is that God is holy and that all are cursed with original sin. God gives the gift of faith as He sees fit -- it is just that, a gift, unmerited by the recipient. Ephesians explains this.
Nowhere does the Bible say God is 'fair'; rather He is just and holy!
