If gods hide, they must suffer the consequences.

Even if there were a God, why would we need to believe in it? What benefit would such belief confer on us? What possible benefit would such an entity derive from us believing in it?

An all-knowing, omniscient creator would have scant need for adoration and worship from the likes of us.

If such a creator thrives on adoration and love, then it is incumbent on it to manifest itself in such a manner as to leave no doubt in the mind of the skeptic - however, all gods and Gods choose to hide themselves and must therefore suffer the consequences.
